Garrett Brings Health Care Bill to the 5th District

Rep. Scott Garrett (R-NJ) has made available the 1,990-page Pelosi health care bill for constituents to view at libraries and hospitals across the fifth district.
Garrett vowed to bring the bill to the people of the fifth district in an effort to educate them about the broad-reaching proposals contained in H.R. 3962, “The Affordable Health Care for America Act.”
“House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's latest version of her health care bill makes it evident that she has no interest in incorporating the feedback of the American people in the health care debate," Garrett said. "After months of outrage from the American people, the legislation she's rushing to the floor of the House of Representatives this week is still a government takeover of America’s health care system. Rather than empowering Americans through patient-centered reform that allows people to control their health care coverage, this bill has the potential to limit choices, competition, and the possibilities for innovation. I support health care reform that will ensure that America remains competitive in the 21st Century by making our system more portable, affordable, sustainable, effective and innovative.”
